Stop error (Blue Screen). BCCode: 124. Occurs randomly but frequently. How do I fix?
I have had this looked at 2 times by geek squad when under warranty to no prevail, sent it to Gateway with no resolution also. Now out of warranty and Gateway won't look at it. Anyone had the below error before? What can I do to fix? Person to help gets 10 points.

Don't fret. You and 1000 others have this 124 error code. The best way to fix it is to re-install Windows from your windws and not from scratch.
Just overwrite the installation on your existing windows.
It will delete the old one and replace the registry which, by the way , is where your problem is. unless you are good at registry cleaning, that is your best bet.
It will not destroy any of your old data so do not worry. You may have to re-install some software but it is already onthe drive.
The fact that you have a new registry, you have to install your old software but at least, your data is there and the software will recognize where you had place it.
I recommend this avenue. Otherwise, your hail will fall out.
