Where can I find a longer speedometer cable for a 1976 Yamaha motorcycle, model number unknown?

I have a custom built "trike" that I was told has the front end from a 1976 Yamaha. I don't know what model but the mechanic I have working on it now says it looks like the size of a 600cc or 700cc. The speedometer and cable are the originals from the donor bike and the speedometer cable is too short and has broken down at the wheel. Do you know where I can find a speedo cable that is 5" to 6" longer that will work? Can you help PLEASE? Thank you in advance for your help, Ron.
