How difficult is it to install a lowering kit on a Harley Davidson deuce?

Is it necessary to take the bike to a dealer (Harley mechanic) or is it possible to do it your self with a little mechanical knowhow? Any Harley guys please advise. Thanx!

If you purchase some new progressive suspension rear shocks, they are adjustable allowing you to lower the rear up to 2 inches, they also list a drop in lowering kit for the front.
