florida police motorcycles for sale?
i was wondering if anyone may know where i can look to get information on purchasing harley davidson police cruisers out of the florida area. i did a few searches but nothing came up so i was hoping someone may have a web address i can go to. thanks a lot
in repsonse to baggermike. i am looking into these because a guy told me that you could buy them from someone in florida in the 4-5 thousand dollar range. i dont know but i was interested in finding out. i do custom paint work. i was looking to pick one up and do some custom work to it as in bolt on parts and also paint work and try to flip for a profit. but it may turn out that they can not be bought at cheaply as i was told. not sure. i have a 2001 road kink now so i am not in the market for a bike for myself. you can see a picture of my bike on my myspace account. it is gabodyman just as it is on this yahoo user account. thanks a lot again
Them things get rode hard while heavy, its not like they just serenely tour around, its mostly full throttle with a ton of gear, and electronics. Do NOT expect a cream puff. Our local PD offers them to the officers first. And Florida? imagine the worst beating in the hottest place, and there is the bike your looking for. DONT pay much, seriously they are TIRED. Not JUST HDs, The Kawasakis are whipped as well. Check for the value of a same year plain jane HD, no options, cause they dont have any, and then add the cost of a complete rebuild, new clutch, possible transmission, and thats where your at. Few people consider this while the auction is on, and they think they got a bargain. CAREFUL!!
